Arianna Almeida began riding at the age of four when a guest at her parents’ B&B suggested they come and watch his Hanoverian sale.  As soon as Arianna reached out to pet one of the horses, hearts allegedly sprung out of her head and all she could talk about was riding!  Arianna rode all throughout high school, climbing through the Eventing levels with her self made OTTB Bells and Whistles ("Belle").  Belle had a distinct dislike for dressage, forcing Arianna to spend countless hours practicing in the dreaded "white box."

She steadily moved up to the Preliminary level with her goal of qualifying for the Young Riders CCI* Event Team, however Belle was sadly injured at her final qualifying event.  Arianna bought her amazing horse Drummer’s Call (“Ringo”) at the end of her time at Cornell University and was fortunate to become a working student for Four Star Eventer Mikki Kuchta.  Ringo and Arianna tackled the preliminary level together and then got the amazing opportunity to become a working student for Jennie Brannigan and Phillip Dutton.  That fall, the pair won three preliminary events in a row and then placed first at Chattahoochee CIC** by 9 points!

Arianna and Ringo made the move to Boston, MA to settle into "life," only to stumble into the barn of four star eventer Adrienne Iorio.  Under her watchful eye, the pair made the move up to Intermediate, placing 6th at The Fork CCI***S, 5th at Virginia CCI***S and placing in the top twenty at Fair Hill International CCI***L.  Despite Arianna's dream of moving up to Advance with Ringo, she felt that it was in his best interest to remain at the lower levels and teach someone new the ropes!  Since then, Arianna has brought several OTTB's up the levels, including Stella Artois ("Stella") who most recently qualified for the 2019 American Eventing Championships at Prelim.  In 2022 she earned her USDF Bronze Medal on her Oldenburg mare Rhein Aflame, only a year after switching her to “pure dressage” from eventing at the 2 star level. She is excited about the prospect of earning her USDF Silver Medal in the future and starting to event Rhein Aflame’s half-brother “Froth”.
